Accountant – Practice Role in Perth & Kinross

About the role

Our client, a growing multi‑office practice in Scotland, is looking for a qualified Accountant (or an ambitious P/Q) to join their vibrant team in the Perth & Kinross area. The role supports a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, SMBs, micro‑entities and not‑for‑profits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide client advisory services and manage client meetings.
• Prepare full and abbreviated statutory accounts (FRS105 & FRS102).
• Calculate corporation tax, complete CT600 filings and handle VAT submissions.
• Liaise with payroll teams on behalf of clients.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc management accounts, including profit & loss statements.
• Schedule and timetable work, ensuring timely delivery.
• Communicate with HMRC for queries, payment plans and registrations.
• Mentor junior staff and studiers, with potential to progress to Business or Client Manager.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant or ambitious P/Q with UK practice experience (essential).
• Experience preferably gained in a small or mid‑tier firm.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
