Accountant – UK Finance & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Accountant to join B’IOTA Laboratories UK. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and supporting the financial health of our health and wellness brands.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping and financial records.
• Process supplier invoices and track payments.
• Issue customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Manage PAYE payroll, generate monthly payslips and handle pension contributions.
• Handle HMRC submissions, tax payments and related compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and cash‑flow summaries.
• Monitor stock and inventory financial records.
• Maintain Companies House filings and statutory records.
• Support general business compliance and administrative filings.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of UK accounting experience.
• Qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience with Xero accounting software.
• Strong understanding of VAT, PAYE, HMRC processes and Companies House filings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• UK citizenship.
