About the role
Checkout.com is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to head its global AP function within the Central Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Accounts Payable, you will oversee end‑to‑end AP processes for multiple entities across several continents and manage a team of up to ten professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of AP Analysts, Senior Analysts and Associates, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
- Own the full AP cycle – invoice, credit note, expense and payment processing – ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage weekly and ad‑hoc payment runs, maintaining appropriate controls and approvals.
- Oversee AP ticket handling, expense claims, corporate card activity and supplier statement reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with AP controls, support month‑end close, and produce AP reporting such as ageing, KPIs and statutory reports.
- Act as escalation point for complex or high‑risk queries and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading an Accounts Payable function in a fast‑paced, global environment.
- Strong organisational and detail‑orientation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, capable of influencing both internal teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and ensure compliance.
