AI Development Lead

About the role

Zurich is accelerating its AI transformation across Life, Health and Bank Distribution. As an AI Development Lead you will shape and deliver cutting‑edge AI and ML solutions, mentor colleagues and help the business realise the value of generative AI.

Key responsibilities

• Support teams across Zurich Life, Health and Bank Distribution to become self‑sufficient with AI, identifying and scoping high‑impact use‑cases.
• Prototype, develop and transition ML/AI models into production‑ready services using cloud‑based tooling.
• Collaborate with the newly‑formed AI Lab and cross‑functional data scientists, engineers and consultants.
• Mentor and coach colleagues on best practices, the art‑of‑the‑possible and responsible AI deployment.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical solutions and communicate outcomes to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience applying AI/ML techniques to solve real business problems.
• Strong passion for mentoring and enabling others to use AI.
• Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and delivering end‑to‑end solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Machine learning and generative AI development.
• Experience with cloud platforms and related tooling (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for AI (e.g., Python).
