Airport Driver

About the role

Join the PRM Airside Driver Team at Manchester Airport, operating specialist vehicles to transport passengers with reduced mobility between aircraft and terminal facilities. Full training is provided, including operation of minibuses and Class 2 rigid vehicles, so no prior Class 2 licence is required.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the daily Vehicle Check Sheet and report any defects.
• Drive company vehicles safely, maintaining security and cleanliness at all times.
• Operate vehicles in close proximity to aircraft using all safety systems.
• Assist passengers with boarding, seating, or wheelchair transfers using safe manual‑handling techniques.
• Perform Customer Care Agent duties when needed, such as escorting passengers through security or to baggage reclaim.
• Update the Allocator on job progress via PDA and radio.
• Observe all Manchester Airport airside driving requirements and promote a safe environment.

Required profile

• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Experience in a similar role or driving larger vehicles is advantageous.
• Willingness to carry out any reasonable task requested.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required beyond a clean UK driving licence.
