Android Developer – Health & Wellbeing Start-up (Remote)

About the role

We are building a next‑generation wellness platform for a health and wellbeing start‑up. As an Android Developer you will shape a flagship native app from day one, working with a small, experienced team in a remote‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a high‑quality Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules for business logic and data handling.
• Implement on‑device machine‑learning features with TensorFlow Lite to deliver personalised experiences.
• Build integrations with Google Fit and Health Connect for wearable data.
• Collaborate with designers to create accessible, polished Material Design UI.
• Optimise performance across devices, screen sizes and Android versions.
• Manage Play Store submissions and release processes.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing Android apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Solid understanding of modern Android architecture components and patterns.
• Comfortable working in an early‑stage, high‑ownership environment.
• Passion for building performant, accessible mobile applications.
