Android Developer – Kotlin & Jetpack (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join a global consulting firm working on a Card Payments project. The position is contract‑based, running until the end of 2026, with a hybrid working model (three days onsite in London).

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Android applications using Kotlin, with Java support for legacy components.
• Implement Jetpack libraries and MVI architecture to deliver robust, maintainable code.
• Integrate REST APIs and work from API documentation.
• Maintain build pipelines with Gradle and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
• Write unit and UI tests using Espresso, JUnit and WireMock.
• Apply asynchronous programming techniques with Coroutines, Flows and RxJava.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing Android applications in Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Java for legacy code support.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced consulting environment.

What we offer

• Daily rate up to £520 (inside IR35 via umbrella).
