Android Engineer

About the role

Join the core Android team at Just Eat Takeaway.com and help shape the future of our food‑delivery and grocery apps. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high‑quality mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and modern UI frameworks.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on quality, security, and maintainability.
• Debug and resolve defects promptly to ensure smooth operation of the apps.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and contribute to project planning.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, improving automation for testing and deployment to Google Play and Huawei App Store.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with Android architectural patterns such as MVVM and MVI.
• Experience integrating Android apps with server‑side APIs, preferably in a microservices environment.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
