Architectural Technician - Residential Projects

About the role

A well-established RIBA Chartered architectural practice, working on residential and commercial projects such as apartments and housing developments, is looking for an Architectural Technician to join on a permanent basis. The role covers residential-led projects and involves producing and coordinating technical design information through RIBA Stages 3 to 5, working closely with architects, consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Produce technical design packages, specifications, tender documentation and detailed construction drawings
• Support projects through RIBA Work Stages 3 to 5
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and wider project teams
• Assist with CDM Designer responsibilities where required
• Attend site appraisals, surveys, client meetings and site inspections
• Contribute to a collaborative team and mentor colleagues where appropriate

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years' UK project experience in architectural practice
• Experience delivering residential projects, including apartment buildings and housing schemes
• Strong construction knowledge and ability to produce technical detailing
• Experience working through RIBA Stages 3 to 5
• Organised, detail-oriented and confident producing construction information

Required skills

• Revit
• AutoCAD (beneficial)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a project team
