Associate Architect - Retail & Logistics Projects

About the role

A globally recognised architecture and design practice, known for large-scale retail, commercial and mixed-use projects, is recruiting an Associate Architect for its expanding retail and logistics team. The role is delivery-focused, with strong emphasis on technical oversight, project control and client engagement, and involves leading large-scale retail projects such as new builds and refurbishments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale retail and logistics projects across RIBA stages
• Oversee project delivery, coordination and programme control
• Review and interrogate technical drawing packages using a Revit-based workflow
• Act as a key client-facing lead on complex projects
• Manage contractual and commercial aspects of delivery
• Support senior leadership in driving project outcomes and team growth

Required profile

• Experienced architect or associate with strong UK project delivery experience in large-scale commercial, retail or logistics environments
• Strong experience delivering large-scale projects; big box retail or logistics experience highly desirable
• Technically confident, commercially aware and comfortable working with clients and external stakeholders

Required skills

• Excellent technical knowledge, especially drawing review and coordination
• Strong working knowledge of Revit (essential)
• Project control, delivery and consultant coordination experience
• Good understanding of contracts and commercial frameworks

What we offer

• Salary of £70,000 - £80,000 depending on experience
• Hybrid working (one day per week in the office)
