Associate Director – Civil Engineering

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Director to lead our Civils team in Birmingham. The role offers senior leadership within a global engineering consultancy, focusing on project delivery, client engagement and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Engage with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the UK practice.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Oversee commercial aspects, including budgeting and programme control.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in civil engineering within the construction sector.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong client‑facing and business development skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and geographies.
