Associate Director Safety and Risk

About the role

Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead its Safety & Risk team in the South West of England. This senior position will support a long‑standing client delivering diverse flood and coastal projects, acting as the regional technical lead for Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Safety & Risk Consultants across the South West region.
• Collaborate closely with client Project Managers, internal stakeholders, Health, Safety & Wellbeing teams, and external delivery partners.
• Provide safety and risk guidance from feasibility through detailed design to on‑site construction.
• Ensure designs incorporate buildability, sustainability, environmental impact and health & safety considerations from the outset.

Required profile

• Chartered Safety Professional.
• Relevant degree or diploma in a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
