Automation & Finance Systems Manager - Tax

About the role

The Automation & Finance Systems Manager – Tax will drive the digital transformation of AVEVA’s tax function. Working across tax, finance and IT teams, you will design, build and maintain automated solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency and scalability of tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement automation opportunities such as data extraction, reconciliations, report generation and workflow management using tools like Power Automate, Power Query, Alteryx, UIPath or Python.
• Serve as project manager for tax‑technology initiatives, mapping current and future‑state processes, documenting controls and data flows.
• Configure, maintain and optimise tax‑relevant systems (ERP modules, tax determination engines such as OneSource, consolidation and reporting tools) and develop data pipelines to ensure clean, reliable tax data.
• Build dashboards and automated reports in Power BI or Tableau to provide proactive tax intelligence and support compliance, audit and management reporting.
• Collaborate with tax, finance, accounting and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications, provide training and ensure robust governance and controls over tax data.

Required profile

• Strong IT background with proven experience in process automation and financial systems.
• Ability to manage projects, analyse requirements and deliver technical solutions without a tax‑specific background.
• Excellent analytical mindset and attention to data quality and governance.
