Back of House Team Member

About the role

Join Slim Chickens at the Birmingham Grand Central Station as a Back of House Team Member. You will help deliver Southern‑inspired chicken dishes in a fast‑paced, friendly kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to the brand’s high standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen workspace.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ingredient freshness.
• Work collaboratively to ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance needs.
• Support the kitchen team with various tasks to keep operations smooth.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Passion for cooking and delivering quality food.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential.
