Backend Engineer – Remote First (1 day/month on site London)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join a fast‑growing cybersecurity product company. This hands‑on position will let you design and build the core services that power a modern security platform, while working in a remote‑first environment with occasional on‑site collaboration in London.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend architectures.
• Develop APIs and micro‑services to support platform functionality and third‑party integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using .NET and C#.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate server‑side logic.
• Optimize system performance and ensure high availability.
• Build reusable libraries and components for future use.

Required profile

• Strong experience with .NET and C#.
• Proven ability to design and build APIs and micro‑service architectures.
• Experience with relational (SQL) or non‑relational (NoSQL) databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
