About the role

Join Duffel’s London team to build the core API that powers millions of travel bookings worldwide. As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and implement high‑quality, scalable services that simplify travel distribution for developers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a beautiful, developer‑friendly API for travel search and booking.
• Integrate the API with hundreds of travel providers, handling diverse systems and requirements.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability across the backend stack.
• Collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure teams to align technical solutions with business impact.
• Contribute to engineering standards, processes, and best‑practice documentation.
