Band 5 Occupational Therapist – Older Peoples Mental Health

About the role

The Band 5 Occupational Therapist will join the multi‑professional Older Peoples Mental Health Team at Bonnyrigg Heath Centre. You will support the development of dementia and mental health services, assessing functional impacts of physical and mental health and delivering evidence‑based interventions in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the functional impact of physical and mental health conditions for older adults.
• Develop, implement and evaluate person‑centred interventions in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage a caseload of patients within the community setting.
• Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Interest or experience working with older adults, particularly dementia or mental health.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and service development.
• PVG Scheme membership/record (or willingness to obtain).
