Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

About the role

The Ministry of Defence is recruiting Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists to work within NHS facilities across England and Wales. This permanent clinical role is based at ITC Medical Centre in Catterick Garrison and involves delivering high‑quality musculoskeletal physiotherapy services to military personnel and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions using evidence‑based physiotherapy techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit and quality‑improvement activities.
• Participate in on‑call duties and provide urgent care when required.

Required profile

• Registered physiotherapist with a current HCPC registration.
• Relevant experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, preferably at Band 6 level.
• Eligibility to undergo security checks and meet Ministry of Defence vetting requirements.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and NHS standards.
