Bar Staff – Serve Food & Drinks in a Pub

About the role

Join a friendly, hard‑working team at a busy Wetherspoon pub in Carlisle. No prior experience is required – we provide full training so you can serve food and drinks to customers while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Take orders and serve drinks and food to the correct specification, both at the bar and via the customer app.
• Deliver food to tables, complete check‑backs, and clear plates within required timeframes.
• Provide friendly customer interactions, greet guests, thank them and build rapport.
• Maintain ‘clean as you go’ standards, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces and checking toilets.
• Assist with glass‑washing, restocking fridges, floor and beer‑garden duties as needed.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, reliable and friendly with a good attitude.
• Calm under pressure and able to work flexible shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.
• Team‑player who enjoys working with others.

• Competitive hourly rate of £12.81.
