BIM/Revit Engineer – Structured Cabling & Security

About the role

The BIM/Revit Engineer will join IDS’s specialist design team to deliver detailed BIM models and construction drawings for ICT, structured cabling and physical security systems on medium to large‑scale projects such as data centres, corporate campuses and critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed design drawings and 3‑D BIM models for cabling, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and related systems using Revit and AutoCAD across all design stages.
• Attend technical design meetings and coordinate BIM models with other building services disciplines, performing clash detection.
• Maintain drawing registers, manage revision control and generate as‑built documentation.
• Support construction administration, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
• Uphold ethical standards in line with the company’s Ethics Charter.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proven BIM/CAD experience on ICT/structured cabling or security projects.
• Experience working on data centre, corporate campus or large‑scale commercial environments.
• Good IT skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and high attention to detail.
