Business Development Executive

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join a leading digital, design and marketing agency in the North East. Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will work hybrid after a probation period, turning first conversations into long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities across key industries and platforms.
• Reach out to prospects via email, LinkedIn, calls and innovative channels.
• Qualify leads, book discovery calls and set up meetings with full Director support.
• Attend networking events, conferences and local business gatherings to build connections.
• Maintain an accurate CRM with all lead activity, interactions and follow‑ups.
• Collaborate with Directors to nurture high‑value leads and progress opportunities.
• Support wider marketing campaigns and test new outreach approaches.
• Share insights on lead quality, messaging and channel performance.

Required profile

• Enjoy meeting new people and thrive in a fast‑paced digital, creative environment.
• 2+ years experience with digital products (websites, SEO, digital marketing) or B2B tech/software solutions.
• Background in solution selling with a consultative approach.
• Goal‑driven mindset and a hunger to succeed.

Required skills

• HubSpot or similar CRM platform.
• LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Apollo prospecting tool.
• Ability to write sharp, engaging outreach copy.
