Business Unit Director – Integrated Facilities Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Director to lead a high‑performing operational division delivering integrated facilities management (IFM) solutions across the UK. This strategic leadership position carries full responsibility for operational delivery, commercial performance, client relationships, and business growth within a multi‑site FM portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a national FM business unit.
• Drive operational performance, profitability, and growth.
• Manage senior‑level client relationships and ensure exceptional service standards across hard and soft FM contracts.
• Lead commercial strategy, contract performance, and business improvement initiatives.
• Build and mentor high‑performing leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with governance and HSE standards.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience within FM, technical services, or support services.
• Strong commercial and operational background with P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record managing large, complex FM contracts.
• Experience driving growth, retention, and operational improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capability.
• Strategic mindset with strong people leadership skills.
