Buyer/Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The company is looking for a Buyer/Procurement Coordinator to join the Contracts Team. You will play a key part in delivering projects efficiently and cost‑effectively by managing the purchase of materials, plant and services.

Key responsibilities

• Procure construction materials and supplies required for projects.
• Liaise daily with Contracts and Commercial teams to align requirements.
• Manage plant hire, off‑hire and the servicing schedule of company‑owned plant.
• Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate competitive rates.
• Work closely with site personnel to gather and confirm material and plant needs.
• Complete all procurement‑related administration and documentation.
• Carry out site visits to understand project needs and support planning.

Required profile

• Based in Aberdeenshire and able to commute to Oldmeldrum.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Confident negotiator with strong communication skills.
• Proactive team player who can also work independently.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and plant (advantageous).
