C# / Angular Front Office Developer – Low Latency Trading

About the role

Barclays is seeking a C# / Angular Front Office Developer to work on low‑latency, real‑time trading applications used by equity traders. The role focuses on developing, enhancing and maintaining the Compass UI (X‑Wing) platform – an intraday risk and P&L system – ensuring high performance, stability and usability in a front‑office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the Compass UI (X‑Wing) platform for intraday risk and P&L.
• Deliver new functionality and enhancements while ensuring scalability and performance.
• Provide Level 3 production support, including incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with trading, product and infrastructure teams to align solutions with business needs.
• Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and share knowledge with peers.

Required profile

• Experience in front‑office or trading system development.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and unit testing.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product managers, designers and other engineers.

• GUI development with WinForms or WPF
