About the role
This part‑time position provides remote chat support for a UK consumer business during evenings and weekends. The specialist will ensure out‑of‑hours customers receive prompt, helpful, and professional assistance via live chat.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to inbound chat enquiries during scheduled evening and weekend shifts.
- Resolve straightforward issues and escalate complex cases for daytime follow‑up.
- Maintain accurate notes and case records in the support system.
- Follow out‑of‑hours response procedures and service standards.
- Hand over outstanding cases to the daytime team with clear context.
- Identify and flag recurring out‑of‑hours issues for the support leads.
Required profile
- Excellent written communication in English.
- Availability to work consistent evening and weekend shifts.
- Previous experience in customer service or chat‑based support.
- Comfortable using chat platforms and CRM systems.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and independent work ethic.
- Reliable home internet connection and a quiet workspace.
