Children's Residential Support Worker – Hartlepool

About the role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker you will be a key part of daily life for young people living in our Hartlepool homes. You will help them regain a sense of normal childhood while supporting their social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist young people with morning routines, school preparation and homework.
- Plan and deliver a range of activities, from sports and games to creative projects.
- Complete required paperwork, maintain records and support care plans.
- Provide emotional support, encourage positive behaviour and help resolve conflicts.
- Work evenings and weekends as needed, including occasional sleep‑ins.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Reliability and good attendance, with willingness to undertake sleep‑ins.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.

- Competitive salary range £32,194 – £38,560 per year.
