Clerical Officer – Emergency Department (Part‑time)

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Clerical Officer to join the Acute & Diagnostic Administration Team supporting the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit. The role is part‑time (20 hours per week) on a fixed‑term contract until 07/02/2027, working a rotating 4‑week roster that includes day, evening, weekend and night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clerical and administrative support across the Emergency Department and Clinical Assessment Unit.
- Receive and register patients promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Cover a variety of shift patterns as required by the 4‑week rolling rota.

- Team player with a positive “can‑do” attitude.
- Organised, detail‑oriented and strong communicator.
- Self‑motivated, able to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and shift patterns.
