About the role
We are seeking a GPhC‑registered Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading private acute hospital in Cambridge. This full‑time, on‑site role offers the chance to work within a forward‑thinking, inclusive environment that values wellbeing, professional development and clear career progression.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services, including medicines reconciliation, clinical screening and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Optimise medication use through evidence‑based interventions for acute and long‑term conditions.
- Support prescribing decisions with clinical assessment, risk evaluation and formulary guidance.
- Lead medicines optimisation initiatives aligned with national and local guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and review of clinical guidelines, protocols and policies.
- Monitor medicine usage, governance and safety incidents, participating in audits, root‑cause analysis and quality‑improvement projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across theatres, wards and the dispensary to ensure safe and effective medicines management.
Required profile
- GPhC registration with at least one year of post‑registration experience.
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medicines optimisation.
- Solid understanding of governance, audits and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient‑focused care.
