Cloud Accountant – Hybrid, £32k‑£38k

About the role

This Cloud Accountant role sits within a specialist bookkeeping and advisory division, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients using modern, cloud‑based systems. You will work in a collaborative finance function that values accuracy, communication and continuous improvement, with a hybrid mix of office and home working.

Key responsibilities

• Review and check financial transactions prepared by junior team members
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy
• Prepare and submit VAT returns within deadlines
• Act as a primary client contact via email and telephone
• Respond to bookkeeping and finance‑related queries
• Coordinate with internal processing teams to maintain complete and accurate records
• Support preparation of year‑end accounts for senior review
• Provide general administrative support to the wider team when required

Required profile

• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Strong IT skills with confidence using Excel, Outlook and Word
• Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage deadlines effectively
• Proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work independently
• Previous experience in bookkeeping, VAT or cloud accounting systems is highly desirable
