About the role
Swissport is seeking a Customer Service Agent to join its team at Edinburgh Airport. In this role you will be the first point of contact for passengers, delivering friendly and professional assistance throughout their journey and helping to maintain the high standards of service expected by airlines and travellers.
Key responsibilities
- Greet passengers and provide courteous assistance from check‑in to boarding.
- Assist with check‑in procedures, luggage handling and boarding processes.
- Answer passenger inquiries about flight schedules, baggage policies and related information.
- Ensure compliance with airline and airport regulations, including security and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly.
- Resolve passenger concerns and complaints promptly, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, documentation and reporting.
- Follow environmental processes and the QHSE manual.
Required profile
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while remaining calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
- Strong problem‑solving attitude and proactive approach to issues.
- Attention to detail when handling passenger information and documentation.
