Customer Service Assistant – Retail Store

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary. You will work in a fast‑paced retail store, delivering friendly service, handling payments and helping keep the shop tidy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and encourage feedback.
• Operate tills and process cash and card payments.
• Stock shelves, replenish inventory and maintain store appearance.
• Assist customers at self‑service checkouts and handle age‑restricted product sales.
• Support online order fulfilment and other store areas such as vending and stock routines.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures, including wearing safety equipment.
• Cover shift duties in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager when required.
• If the store includes a Post Office, perform post office duties after passing required background checks.

Required profile

• Passionate about serving customers with a friendly attitude.
• Willing to work across all store areas and adapt to changing tasks.
• Committed to safety, store policies and the “Think 25” age‑restriction rule.
• Reliable, punctual and able to clock in/out accurately.

Required skills

• POS (point‑of‑sale) system operation.
• Cash handling and basic payment processing.
• Basic computer literacy for online order handling.
