Customer Service Assistant – Retail Store

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Customer Service Assistant to join our One Stop store. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, delivering friendly service and supporting daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and encourage feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
• Operate tills, process payments and assist customers at self‑service checkouts.
• Stock shelves, replenish inventory and keep the store tidy and well‑organised.
• Maintain store appearance, ensure aisles are clear and follow health and safety procedures.
• Support online order fulfilment, vending and other store areas as needed.
• Assist with community, seasonal and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Cover shift duties in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
• If the store includes a Post Office, handle its daily operations and pass required background checks.
