Missions principales

As Deputy Head of English, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high pedagogical standards and supporting the department's leadership. Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality English instruction and preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
• Assessing student progress, managing evaluations, and implementing effective intervention strategies.
• Leading curriculum planning, assessment design, and the development of innovative teaching resources.
• Providing academic guidance to students regarding subject choices and university applications.
• Managing classroom dynamics through the consistent application of rewards and sanctions.
• Communicating effectively with parents and supporting students with specific educational needs.
• Participating actively in departmental meetings and professional development (INSET).

Profil recherché

• Proven experience in teaching English at GCSE and A-Level standards.
• Demonstrated leadership potential or experience in curriculum coordination.
• A commitment to academic excellence and a progressive approach to education.
• Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity (3 to 4 days per week).
