About the role
We are partnering with a leading IT services and solutions provider to recruit a Desktop Support Technician. In this hands‑on role you will deliver end‑user support and deployment services across corporate offices, healthcare sites, warehouses and data centres, working directly with users to resolve hardware and software issues.
Key responsibilities
- Provide on‑site and remote technical support, diagnosing and fixing hardware and software problems.
- Install, configure, upgrade desktop and laptop systems, Windows operating systems and business applications.
- Perform hardware deployments, imaging, data transfer, backup and device decommissioning or redeployment.
- Maintain workstations, peripherals, printers and basic network connectivity.
- Manage support tickets, document resolutions and communicate progress to customers.
- Assist with small projects such as office moves, large‑scale device roll‑outs and infrastructure upgrades.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of desktop support experience in an enterprise environment.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
- High school diploma required; further IT qualifications preferred.
Required skills
- Windows OS support (desktop/laptop).
- Microsoft Office and common business applications.
- Hardware installation, upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Imaging and configuration tools.
- Active Directory user and permission management.
- Ticketing system usage.
- Basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
