Digital Workplace Architect – Fixed Term (22 months)

About the role

The British Transport Police is seeking a Digital Workplace Architect to design and deliver intelligent, automated digital workplace solutions that boost productivity and support frontline policing. This 22‑month fixed‑term role will work across the force’s main hubs, combining office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimisation of digital workplace services, embedding AI and automation.
• Identify opportunities to integrate tools such as Power Platform, Copilot, RPA and chatbots.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders and external partners to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance the digital employee experience.
• Ensure all solutions meet accessibility, security and policing compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital workplace architecture and solution design.
• TOGAF certification or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/automation platforms (Power Platform, Copilot, RPA, chatbots).
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft services with recognised certifications.
• Strong understanding of AI, automation and digital service design principles.
• User‑first mindset with a passion for simplifying complex systems.
