About the role
The British Transport Police Technology Department is seeking a Digital Workplace Architect to design and deliver intelligent, automated, and user‑centric workplace solutions. You will shape the digital environment that supports frontline policing, improving productivity, collaboration and operational effectiveness across the force.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimisation of digital workplace services.
- Identify and embed AI and automation opportunities within workplace tools.
- Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and user‑friendly solutions.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance the digital employee experience.
- Ensure all solutions meet accessibility, security and policing compliance standards.
Required profile
- Proven experience in digital workplace architecture and solution design.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Experience designing or implementing AI/automation solutions such as Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, RPA or chatbots.
- Expert‑level understanding of Microsoft services with recognised Microsoft certifications.
- Strong grasp of AI, automation and digital service design principles.
- User‑first mindset with a passion for simplifying complex systems.
