Education Growth Lead – UK & Ireland

About the role

Canva is looking for an Education Growth Lead for the UK & Ireland to own and scale its education vertical, driving activation, repeat usage and measurable adoption among teachers and students.

Key responsibilities

• Own the education growth vertical in the UK & Ireland, focusing on activation, retention and adoption across teachers and students.
• Design and execute a growth strategy that spans grassroots teacher engagement to municipality‑level partnerships.
• Shift the focus from “train” to “activate & retain”, embedding Canva into everyday classroom workflows.
• Align Sales, Marketing, Content, Product and Partnerships around clear education growth outcomes.
• Identify onboarding friction and reduce barriers to sustained usage at scale.
• Build scalable, locally relevant initiatives that turn education into a compounding acquisition and frequency engine.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or scaling a measurable market, vertical or segment and articulating the growth levers behind it.
• Mindset focused on activation, retention and habit formation rather than only awareness or top‑line sales.
• Hands‑on, comfortable operating without a rigid playbook and willing to roll up sleeves.
• Ability to navigate grassroots environments (teachers, schools, communities) and strategic conversations (partners, stakeholders, government).
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without authority.
• Curious, adaptable and excited to shape a vertical without a fully defined playbook.
