English Teacher (KS3 & KS4) – Fixed Term

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated secondary English teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 curriculum in a high‑performing department. The role is fixed‑term, starts immediately, and offers a collaborative environment focused on professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons that meet the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Analyse assessment data to close attainment gaps and support student progress.
• Maintain an inclusive, well‑behaved classroom using effective behaviour management.
• Provide pastoral support as a Form Tutor, promoting students’ wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• A BA or MA in English Literature, Language or a related discipline.
• Proven experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• Eligibility for an enhanced DBS check and a commitment to safeguarding.
