Escalator Service Engineer – Plymouth

About the role

Otis is seeking an Escalator Service Engineer to join its Plymouth team. You will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of escalators and lifts, ensuring passenger safety and reliable operation across your assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all scheduled maintenance and service visits for escalators and lifts within the designated area.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, aiming for first‑time fix and minimal downtime.
• Carry out minor repairs to keep equipment operational.
• Interact directly with customers on site to build strong relationships.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in escalator service, maintenance or repair.
• Valid driver’s licence and residence within one hour of the Plymouth site.
• Minimum 24 months experience in the elevator/escalator sector.
• Strong knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering principles.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
