Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our UK finance leadership team, reporting to senior regional finance leadership. The role offers broad EMEA exposure and responsibility for financial control, reporting, compliance and operational finance across multiple European entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for multiple European entities.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow forecasting, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory, VAT and tax compliance submissions.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors and advisors.
• Manage and mentor a UK‑based finance team, driving high performance and best practice.
• Support finance transformation and ERP/system implementation projects.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes across the business.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to support commercial decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in senior finance leadership.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Experience working in international or multi‑entity environments.
• Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting ERP or finance system implementations (highly advantageous).
• Proactive, adaptable and commercially aware.
