Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Financial Controller to join a leading lifestyle hospitality business in London. Working closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, you will own all financial operations, ensure robust controls, and provide insightful analysis to drive profitability and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee all financial accounting processes and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting and banking relationships.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Manage payroll, credit control and accounts payable functions.
• Produce benchmarking and commercial performance analysis.
• Partner with operational leaders to promote financial awareness and accountability.
• Support business improvement projects, systems development and process enhancements.
• Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Previous Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience within hospitality.
• Strong commercial awareness and business‑partnering skills.
• Experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Proven ability to drive efficiencies and improve financial performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Hands‑on leadership style with influence at all levels.
