Financial Controller – London

About the role

Hansen Technologies is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance function for its EMEA entities from its London office. This hands‑on, high‑accountability position will own the financial close process, ensure statutory compliance and provide insight‑rich reporting to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop an Accountant, building a high‑performing, collaborative team.
• Own financial close cycles, statutory submissions and variance analysis.
• Apply strong IFRS expertise to day‑to‑day accounting and reporting.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and process discipline.
• Manage multi‑entity, multi‑currency reporting including FX and intercompany transactions.
• Partner with business leaders to drive cost discipline and working‑capital improvements.
• Manage liquidity forecasting and support cash repatriation strategies.
• Deliver VAT returns, tax provisions and support global tax filings.
• Champion continuous improvement and process standardisation.

Required profile

• ACA / ACCA / CA (or equivalent) qualification.
• Post‑qualification controllership or financial reporting experience in an international company.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and hands‑on general‑ledger experience.
• Exposure to multi‑entity and multi‑country reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 beneficial).
• Proactive, detail‑driven and commercially aware mindset.
