Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join a fast‑paced, consumer‑focused finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will own core reporting processes, support decision‑making and help strengthen financial controls across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Produce flash reports and deliver variance analysis to inform commercial decisions.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through reconciliations of accruals, pre‑payments and provisions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles and partner with departments to review costs, risks and opportunities.
• Assist with audit preparation, including schedules and supporting documentation.
• Own VAT submissions and ensure statutory compliance.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of reporting tools, ERP and BI systems.

Required profile

• Experience in financial reporting, management accounting or a similar finance role.
• Strong grounding in accounting principles and financial controls.
• Ability to meet tight month‑end deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Clear communicator who can translate financial data into actionable insight.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ideally part‑qualified or qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
