General Manager – Child Development Center

About the role

KidStrong Soho is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead its vibrant child‑development centre in New York City. You will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging environment where children can grow physically, mentally, and emotionally while driving the centre’s operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure safety, quality, and a welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff, fostering exceptional customer service and program delivery.
• Design and execute marketing strategies to boost enrollment and community involvement.
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and operational metrics to support business growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with parents, schools, and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and internal policies.
• Organise events that promote KidStrong’s mission and values.
• Collect and analyse feedback to continuously improve the KidStrong experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a management role within the education or child‑development sector.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities with a focus on staff development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with parents and children.
• Demonstrated capability to manage budgets and financial operations effectively.
• Passion for child development and a commitment to fostering a positive environment.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive problem‑solving approach.
