Global Tax Manager

About the role

The Global Tax Manager leads the Foundation’s worldwide tax compliance, reporting, advisory and risk management activities. Based in London, the role works closely with Finance, HR, Legal and Compliance to ensure accurate filings and mitigate tax risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, review and filing of all global tax obligations, including UK corporation tax, VAT, transfer pricing, US Form 990 and charitable state filings.
• Manage overseas tax matters such as withholding tax relief, tax residency certificates, and annual returns for Germany, Canada, China, Japan and Hong Kong.
• Maintain GST filings, Canadian tax rebate claims and comprehensive tax documentation in line with statutory retention requirements.
• Maintain the global tax compliance calendar to meet all statutory filing and payment deadlines.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and year‑end management reporting, providing tax input for budgeting, forecasting and provision calculations.
• Perform detailed general‑ledger analysis, tax reconciliations and ad‑hoc reporting for auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and assess tax risks, own the tax risk framework and prepare papers for audit and risk committees.
• Analyse permanent establishment risks arising from employee relocation, remote working and international presence, recommending mitigation actions.
