About the role
The Head Housekeeper leads the housekeeping department for HotelCare’s client hotels, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are consistently met. Reporting to the Multisite Head Housekeeper and Operations Managers, the role combines operational oversight with team leadership to deliver high‑quality service to guests and clients.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organise and direct housekeeping staff to achieve service levels defined in hotel contracts.
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Collaborate with hotel management and HotelCare operations to meet business objectives.
- Manage housekeeping supplies, purchasing, re‑ordering and inventory within budget.
- Build positive relationships across all business levels and communicate effectively with the Maintenance department.
- Oversee special requests, group allocations and VIP requirements.
- Monitor correct use of machinery and identify training needs.
- Implement and manage health and safety policies.
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience in hotel housekeeping or similar hospitality environment.
- Ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of room attendants, cleaners and linen porters.
- Strong communication skills with hotel managers, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on maintaining high service standards.
- Good organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
