Head of HR for Automotive Technology Scale‑up

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Head of HR to lead the people function for a fast‑growing automotive technology and SaaS scale‑up based in London. You will own end‑to‑end recruitment, shape HR strategy, and drive a high‑performance, inclusive culture as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full UK recruitment lifecycle, from job description to offer.
• Conduct Right‑to‑Work checks and ensure compliance with UK equality legislation.
• Design and deliver onboarding and induction programmes for new hires.
• Support annual appraisal processes and advise managers on performance improvement plans using ACAS guidelines.
• Maintain employee records, benefits administration, and liaison with payroll providers.
• Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with UK employment law.
• Promote diversity, equity and inclusion across all HR processes.
• Keep HR policies up‑to‑date with UK legislation and prepare HR metrics reports for senior management.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or actively working towards it.
• Proven experience in a generalist HR role within the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, GDPR and ACAS guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive cultural change.
