Hybrid Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) – London

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) to join our London team on a hybrid basis – three days in the office and two days remote. You will be responsible for prescribing and reviewing cannabis‑based medicines (CBPM) for patients with complex conditions, ensuring safe and personalised treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
• Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs.
• Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards.
• Support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries.
• Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, clinicians, and staff.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to streamline processes and improve outcomes.

Required profile

• GPhC‑registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of prescribing experience in a clinical setting.
• Willingness to undergo specialised training in cannabis‑based medicines if not already knowledgeable.
• Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non‑clinical settings.
• Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing demands.
• Proactive, resourceful, well‑organised and detail‑oriented.
