Income Maximisation Manager

About the role

Hillingdon Council is seeking an Income Maximisation Manager to lead a transformation of its tenant‑service income function. You will head a team of six Income Maximisation Officers and one apprentice, shifting the service from reactive to proactive, tenant‑centred delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day‑to‑day management of the Income Maximisation team.
• Develop and implement processes that improve revenue collection while supporting residents' financial wellbeing.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and best‑practice standards.
• Drive performance through metrics and a culture focused on positive outcomes for the council and residents.
• Collaborate with internal partners to embed proactive, tenant‑focused service models.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading small teams within a public‑sector or housing environment.
• Strong understanding of income collection, rent arrears management, and tenant support.
• Ability to balance people‑skills with rigorous adherence to policies and regulations.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
