About the role

Join Hypersonica’s elite team to design, implement and operate a centralised Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform that safeguards Europe’s defence technology. You will work autonomously in a talent‑dense environment, directly contributing to Europe’s technological independence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain a SIEM solution to aggregate and analyse security logs across infrastructure, networks and applications.
• Own security log analysis, vulnerability management and incident investigation, establishing baselines and creating alerting rules for critical events.
• Perform system and application hardening, defining standards, implementing configurations and auditing compliance.
• Act as on‑call responder for security incidents, conducting log‑based investigations and escalation.
• Collaborate with Information Security Management to ensure compliance with policies and regulations such as Cyber Essentials, DEF STAN 05‑138, ISO 27001 and Grundschutz++.
• Document SIEM architecture, hardening standards, incident response procedures and security controls for auditors and internal teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on SIEM deployment and production incident investigation experience.
• Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows system hardening using frameworks like CIS Benchmarks or STIGs.
• Strong scripting ability for security automation, log parsing and alert rule development.
• Experience working in compliance‑driven environments.
• High autonomy, good judgement and a security‑first mindset.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms: ELK Stack, Opensearch, Wazuh, Microsoft Defender
• Linux and Windows operating systems
• CIS Benchmarks, STIGs (or similar hardening frameworks)
• Scripting for automation and log analysis
• Understanding of compliance standards: Cyber Essentials, DEF STAN 05‑138, ISO 27001, Grundschutz++
